Rajpal Kohli, Director, Brave Learning Circles
Rajpal is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in Canadian workplaces, including a local government, and several non-profit organizations. Rajpal is an effective trainer and coach, with a trauma informed and culturally sensitive approach to education and training.
Rajpal is a first generation immigrant to Canada with an acute awareness of barriers faced by immigrants while accessing opportunities, including lack of Canadian credentials, work experience and local networks. Lack of English language skills is a huge stumbling block, especially verbal communication, in the workplace and in everyday interactions. We, therefore, focus on conversational English to build up your skills and boost your confidence.
Rajpal holds a Masters degree in Industrial Psychology and Organizational Behavior, a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Psychology with honors in English Literature. She holds a Diploma in TESOL, certifications in Human Resource Management from British Institute of Technology, and in Negotiations, Mediations and Conflict Resolution from Justice Institute of British Columbia, Canada.
Divya Kohli, Director, Brave Learning Circles
Divya has wide ranging experience in many different environments, including non-profit organizations, event planning, copy writing and leading dialogues. Divya is particularly effective at teaching nuances of pronunciation and grammar, as well as expending students’ vocabulary.
Divya is a first generation immigrant to Canada and has experienced and moved beyond the struggles of being unable to communicate due to language difficulties. Speaking well is a vital skill in building relationships, advancing your career, and improving your quality of life. We, therefore, are committed to working with you to vastly improve your conversational skills and help build your future with confidence.
Divya holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Communications from Royal Roads University, British Columbia, as well as a diplomas in TESOL and Financial Management. She has published Newspaper articles and involves herself in organizing literary conventions and keeping others informed about events in her area, Metro Vancouver.
